Arashi – Truth [MS 15-08-08]

20 08 2008

Ok I wasn’t very sure about this song’s live performance because of the mixed melodies in some parts of the song… but Actually “my boys” can do whatever they try, >.<!!!

This is a live performance for Music Station (A very popular Tv program in Japan) and YES!! they are singing Live! I’m glad everything with Ohno-kun went well (Or so I asume because he is attending tv show’s and everything, >.< Ureshio!!!! Omedeto Ohno-Kun!!!) Talking about Ohno… check out in the video (nearly at the end) when Ohno sing’s alone that his tie hits him in the face T_T But he is so natural about it XDD!

It’s been a while since I did a post on Nana’s blog, and actually this post was going to be in my own blog but I don’t know why I started writing in english so I said to myself WTF lets do it in Nana’s blog, XDD!

I know lately I’ve been talking about Oh-Chan but don’t worry I’m still a Jun Baited fan and that wont change for anything (not even Hiro looking something alike MY Jun and never having that girlish look on him, promise!!) It’s just that only recently I’ve found the sweet and lovely side of Oh-Chan…

That’s all for now!! I leave you with the live performance of Truth by Arashi!!

last wednesday I finally went to see [hana yori dango F]!!! – go me!

I went to roppongi hills’ toho cinema – mainly because we had already tried it when we went to see [崖の上のポニョ] and also because on wednesdays it’s only 1000¥ for girls :)

just a quick note, I got there at about 16:15 to buy the tickets for the 18:35 session and the were already SOLD OUT!!! when do japanese buy their tickets? do they get there in the morning or what???? so I had to make do with the 21:25 session – there are not as many screenings per day as in europe, even in big cinemas such as this. it was definitely worth it though, there was no way I was going to watch matsujun from the first row!

the film in itself is not bad, same style as the dorama but with really good illumination and photography. the story goes something like this:

makino and domyouji are finally getting married – with whole scene of formal proposing, kimono and all, parents meeting each other, bla, bla, bla…- and tsukasa’s mother (who seems to have reconsidered and is all nice and smiley) offers makino the most precious of the family jewels to wear at the wedding. the thing in question is a tiara with four gems as big as plums: one from america, one from hongkong, one from an isle in the south and the other one I didn’t get it :p

as soon as they start celebrating the upcoming event the tiara is stolen – long scene of domyouji chasing after thief and much “tsukasa style” fighting. don’t ask me why, but it seems they cannot get married if they don’t retrieve the thingy – predictable, but I didn’t get the reason why, excuse my poor japanese :p

from then on it will be a long trip to get the tiara back, from las vegas – casinos, more chasing and a really cute scene in the motel -, to hongkong to attend an auction with all F4 members (they wouldn’t miss the fun, would they?). then they end up in a deserted island who-knows-where, both alone and… happy? the fact is tsukushi’s doubts about the wedding have got bigger and bigger as the quest for retrieving the tiara became more difficult. are they too young to marry? are they really ready to spend their lives together? will she be able to make tsukasa happy? why does everything get so complicated for them? that’s what she is thinking, more or less.

the famous scene with matsujun shirtless in the water is obviously from the island sequences – there are many funny things here, like seeing how tsukasa grows a ridiculous amount of facial hair (poor thing, his beard is like three or four hairs…) and then shaves it off with a broken visa (no kidding). and then when makino asks him about his dream and he replies: “I’ve got it right in front of me.” pointing at makino. :) he can be sweet when he’s at it. you will discover tsukushi’s dream in the last scene, during the credits – I’m not spoiling it for you.

things about the other F4: nishikado is taking over the family business and giving conferences about the tea ceremony (the audience is nothing but women, of course); mimasaka is doing pretty much the same, though his family’s affairs involve shooting, scheming and being targeted by other bands *gulps* (I didn’t know this side of akira, he seemed so innocent…); the only one who is doing nothing is rui (or maybe he is and I just didn’t get it, but you just see him idling in his bedroom @_@). apart from that, shizuka gets married in france, sorry rui, life is hard.

best things… apart from the actors? the cute and funny scenes – in las vegas’ motel domyouji draws makino to the bed with the obvious intention of sleeping with her when they are interrupted by another character (forgot the name since he is not one of the regulars); domyouji snaps like a string and lies on his belly immediately (I was confused by this at first) but when when he sits up, he turns his back on the other two, makes a ball with the sheets and covers his crotch… seriously, just because he was thinking about sleeping with makino? lol

however, what I liked most is that after the “final” scene you get to see an epilogue, the “one year later” sort of thing. soujiro has writen a book – about tea ceremony, what else? – and yuki goes to the signing to surprise him. although he smiles warmly at first next thing he does is run away from her like mad. akira has become an oyagun (more or less) in hongkong – very much like “the godfather” asian version. rui… I never understood what happened with him, but at least he leaves his room. and a great scene with makino and domyouji back in the deserted island (this time they go there on purpose), where tsukushi reveals her dream. :)

kat, akiko-chan, I hope they release the DVD soon so we can watch it together guys!!! I’m so frustrated because I cannot comment on the important scenes so I don’t ruin the film for you! T_T

here’s the japanese trailer.

and I’m leaving the korean trailer here, since it seems it has some scenes that the japanese one omitted.

and I couldn’t leave [one love] PV out.

just as promised, [how’sITgoing?] concert solos are here! jun wears some weird all-black leather-plastic suit that reminds me both of [HG hoo] and cassandra clare‘s draco… it’s weird, somehow… can’t say it’s sexy though *confused*. and sho-kun’s is one of my favourites so far – it’s been already published in kat’s blog, but it felt awkward to chuck him out of the post just like that, so I kept him :3

oh-chan’s solo: so-so-so

sho-kun’s solo: touch me now

nino’s solo: yume

jun’s solo: don’t cry

aiba-chan’s solo: yokaze

30 07 2008

following kat’s series of posts about 嵐 solos per member I’m helping her including those you can no longer find in webs as youtube or veoh. instead of classifying them by singer I’m posting it by concert. I’m actually cross-posting to [habitacionAMBULANTE] (kat’s blog) in spanish. so as soon as she approves them they will be on her blog too :)

starting with [allORnothing], 2002 concert:

oh-chan’ [bite the love]

sho-kun’s [konya wa boogie back]

nino’s [regress of progress]

jun’s [one more time, one more chance]

aiba-chan’s [hitsuji wo kazoe]

as you see they were pretty young -jun had not corrected his teeth yet… I think they look cute, but the most recent shows – say from [iza, now!] onwards – are way better than the early solos. still it’s nice to see the evolution and how they’ve changed, ne? :)

coming soon [how’sITgoing] – all thanks to dailymotion *reverence* – that I discovered by chance looking for [AKFG]’s afterDARK PV. :)

as I’ve already mentioned before I don’t have a working scan, so I wasn’t planing on posting any magazine issues because taking photographs of the pages just sucks. but after the [maou] post yesterday I wanted to upload photos of [ikuta toma] with his new look and failed to find any good ones in the web. then I said to myself, *what the hell! I’ve got some good pics in the magazines!*. and that’s what did it. sorry for the poor quality, though…

the first ones are from [gyao]’s july issue. the last ones come evidently from [Ldime].

Ok! I know I should be studying and working but somehow I need to let my stress out, so I decided it would be a great idea to watch some J-doramas… And when I was done with the doramas I started searching for some J-music and that’s when I found Arashi (Nana-chan already told me about them and we saw some pictures together… but since I was with classes and exams I needed some relax time and I thought of watching some of their videos, >.<!!!)

This one is Sakura Sake (Cherry Blossoms Blooming), They are so cute as Students… and so sexy as teachers, >_<!!! (Specially my MatsuJun @_@) the best part is when Sho starts his rap solo.

Well ARASHI is a japanese Boys Band. Their First single A-RA-SHI was a hit and more than 80,000 fans appeared at their debut in 1999. This band as many others is managed by Johnny’s Entertainment, as News (previously the group of Yamapi, before he started his Solo career), Tokio, KAT-TUN or V6.

The members of Arashi are:

Sakurai Sho

He writes his own rap lyrics, he is the most educated, he went to Keio’s University to study while being an Idol. He is also an actor and a News Caster, the last dorama where he’s acted is Yamada Taro Monogatari where Nino also has a part.

Ninomiya Kazunari

He’s mostly known for his acting, like in the dorama Stand up! (where Yamapi also has a part) or his appearence in Clint Eastwood’s film Letters from Iwo Jima. He loves to play the piano and has many versions of Arashi’s songs played and singed by him.

Aiba Masaki

Aiba recently completed shooting a drama special called “Triple Kitchen”. Arashi is also having a new album coming out in July, and are currently in preparations for their corresponding summer concert tour. His english is not very good… XDDD (you will understand why soon…)

Ohno Satoshi

When he first joined Arashi, he was the only member no one really knew very well. The other Arashi members had worked together often as Juniors and had been in units together, but Ohno spent much of his time as a Junior working in Kyoto doing plays. (He is, if possible worse at english than Aiba).

Matsumoto Jun

And last but not least… Matsujun!!!! He is just gorgeous, >_<!!! Sorry, back to the subject… He is an actor that has lots of background… He stared as Momo in Kimi Wa Petto, as Domyoji in Hana Yori Dango (with Oguri Shun as Hanazawa Rui, ^_^ so cute!!!!). Matsumoto proved his acting abilities winning Best Supporting Actor in 2002 for his role as Sawada Shin in the drama adaptation of Gokusen (also with Oguri Shun). Lately he has had a leading role in the film Kakushi Toride no San Akunin, wich he went to Las Vegas to present… (lucky them…) The film is a Remake of Akira Kurosawa’s The Hidden Fortress.

Aiba and Onho’s English Lesson…

And another song by ARASHI, XDD!!!

And this one if for Nana-Chan, >_<!!!

8 05 2008

hey! this is my first post about jdorama (japanese dramas) and I have chosen this series because even if it’s genuinely japanese – who else would entitle a series “you are my pet” – it is more than just the typical boy-girl love story.

iwaya sumire [koyuki] is a professionally successful woman, intelligent, beautiful and tall. yet all her virtues, far from being a source of joy to her, have just managed to ruin her life: her co-workers either envy her viciously or are afraid of her, her last boyfriend cheated on her and left her because he felt inferior by her side and she has just been transferred from the elite international issues department of her newspaper, to mediocre social issues dept. moreover, she is unable to express her feelings and is constantly referred to as a [noh character] and a [kokeshi] – a porcelain inexpressive japanese doll.

one day after work she bumps into a big cardboard box in front of her house. inside the box there’s an unconscious young man [matsumoto jun], apparently badly beaten. in her eyes he looks just like a stray puppy, so she takes him in and tends to his wounds – I guess this is the lamest point of the story. the following day, she arrives home to find this stranger still roaming in her apartment. she tries to kick him out now that he feels fine, but he refuses stubbornly claiming he has nowhere to go. half joking she makes him an odd proposition: he can stay as her pet, but he would have no human rights. much to her surprise, the young man accepts.

here starts a weird and endearing story between two people who need each other desperately and don’t realise it. as sumire begins to gradually change the course of her stiff life and, you discover little by little who her new companion really is when he is not her pet [momo].

I think I liked this series from the start because of iwaya-san. she is the prototype of strong independent woman who’s really proud of beong so, even if she sometimes regrets not being able to play dumb and cute like so many girls around her. I think the series portrays in a way the impact of the incorporation of women into an only men’s territory such as the japanese business world. in the end you realise that even those women you thought petty and lame are only taking the role that allows them best to survive in that men’s world and achieve their own objectives. of course watching [matsu jun] practising “submission pose” had somehow got me biased… it is probably the cutest part matsumoto jun has ever played on TV, that of a puppy. all in all both actors are fantastic in their respective roles – the best moments when she washes him in the bathtub ;P.

you can find all the technical details in dramawiki. I downloaded the 10 episodes subbed by [yume no fansub] in spanish, you can find them in [torrentz]. I ignore if there is an english version though.

hope you like it!!!!
